Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This is the simplest banana bread there is. And there are chocolate chips too!

Vegan Banana Bread

So moist and sticky, you'll not be able to resist this treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 very ripe bananas
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 350ml plant-based milk,warmed
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup vegan (non-dairy) chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup semolina
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt

Directions

  1. Beat together the the warm milk and coconut oil.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/200 degrees F/gas mark 4. Line a cake tin with parchment.
  3. Mash the bananas with the milk/coconut oil.
  4. Mix all the rest of the dry ingredients together (including the chocolate chips), then stir them into the wet ingredients.
  5. Pour it into the cake tin. Bake for 40-50 mins.


NB: You can replace the chips with dried banana pieces or nuts if you wish to try a different variation.
